  2. Interests in managed investment schemes (not including investor-directed portfolio services)
  3. Basic deposit products

What financial services can you offer?

We can only provide you with general advice and trading services, which will not take account of, nor be tailored to, your individual objectives, specific financial situation or other personal needs.

It is important that, before using our services, you get advice from a licensed professional on whether our products and services are suitable for you.

How can I give you instructions about my financial products?

You can give us your instructions by:

  • ordinary or registered post;
  • email;
  • phone; or
  • any other method that we both agree.

Are you associated with issuers of financial products?

We are an authorised representative of ShareX Pty Ltd. When we provide you with financial services and products we are acting on behalf of our Australian Financial Services Licensee.

What documents will you send me?

We will give you the relevant information you need to be able to use our services. It is important that you carefully read all documents and statements that we give you, and get professional financial, legal and tax advice to help you make investment decisions.

Our record-keeping obligations

We aim to make sure that we keep full and accurate records of all client information, transactions, and advice we provide.

How are you paid for the financial services you provide?

We are paid through fees and commission. We charge you a success fee that is an agreed percentage of the total value of recovered assets (not including GST). We will tell you the fee before we charge you.

Our representatives who give you general advice or carry out a transaction on your behalf will receive a salary and may also receive commission or other payments for providing these services.

Will anyone be paid for referring me to you?

If you have been referred to us by someone else, we may pay them a fee or commission.

Conflicts of interest disclosure

Unless we say so in any disclosure statements (if these apply) or other documents we give you, we are not associated with any other individuals or companies which might influence us when providing our services to you.

If it applies, we may arrange for such individuals and companies to provide you with financial services and products.

What should I do if I have a complaint?

We have an internal dispute resolution process and will deal with any complaints or concerns you may have as quickly and fairly as possible.

If you have any concerns or complaints, please email our compliance manager at contracts@www.worthingtonclark.com or phone them on +61 2 4868 6888. We will aim to sort out your complaint within 45 days of receiving your email or phone call.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your complaint or concern, you have the right to make a complaint to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). AFCA is an external dispute resolution scheme, which ShareX is a member of.

Our Australian Financial Services Licensee, ShareX, has professional indemnity insurance for the financial products and services we provide. This is in line with section 912B of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and ASIC Regulatory Guide 126. From the date our Financial Services Guide comes into force, the insurance covers claims relating to the conduct of our present and past representatives.

We may rely on this insurance to cover claims for compensation made by clients or past clients. The insurance is between ShareX and their insurer. The insurance provides cover even if one of our representatives no longer acts or works for us.

If we are liable for paying compensation ourselves, we will usually do so out of our existing cash flow and other resources.
